Terms of Service

Last updated: May 4, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using adacodefix.com (the "Service") or the ADA CodeFix Chrome extension, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

ADA CodeFix scans URLs you submit for WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility issues using the open-source axe-core engine, and provides AI-generated code suggestions intended to be reviewed by a qualified developer before being applied. The Service is a tool; it is not a substitute for legal advice or for a comprehensive manual accessibility audit.

3. Accounts

To access certain features (saved scan history, paid plans), you must register an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and promptly update it if it changes.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis through Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time via your account dashboard or by contacting hello@adacodefix.com. Cancellation stops future renewals; we do not generally provide refunds for partial billing periods. Pricing, features, and plan structures may change with reasonable notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Submit URLs for scanning that you do not own or do not have permission to test
  • Use the Service to attempt to identify, scan, or attack systems for any unauthorized purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service
  • Interfere with the operation of the Service or with other users
  • Use the Service in violation of applicable law

6. AI-Generated Suggestions

Code suggestions produced by the Service are generated by third-party AI models. They are suggestions only. They may be incomplete, incorrect, or inappropriate for your specific application context. You are responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating any suggestion before deploying it to production. ADA CodeFix does not warrant that suggestions will achieve, or maintain, conformance with WCAG, the ADA, or any other standard.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. ADA CodeFix is not legal counsel and the Service does not provide legal advice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ADA CodeFix and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising out of your use of the Service. In all cases, our aggregate liability is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct we reasonably believe is abusive, fraudulent, or harmful to other users. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which ADA CodeFix is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of competent jurisdiction in that state.
